Life has always been full of diversity and adventure. Raised in Toronto, I was initially unsure of what I wanted to be when I grew up. Consequently, I sought a variety of experiences to see what piqued my interest. Among other activities, I volunteered in community educational programs, hospitals, and laboratories. I quickly developed an interest in quality patient care in conjunction with the complexities of cancer biology and therapeutics.

My journey continued in Toledo, OH where I completed medical school training. True to form, I spent my spare time at the local hospice to understand end-of-life care, and participated in a study evaluating religious and spiritual perspectives of the patients to provide better care.

I continued to New Brunswick, NJ for residency, then Baltimore, MD for fellowship in hematology and medical oncology, where I served as Chief Fellow. I was honored to be part of each patient’s fight against cancer, and to allow me to walk with them through their cancer journey. Each stop along my training has allowed me to expand on caring for a diverse population with various backgrounds, and participate in clinical research to further advance cancer care.

With clinical trial opportunities for patients, patient-centered resources, and world-class care, Hematology Oncology Associates was an obvious next step in my career. As I join Hematology Oncology Associates in 2024, I hope to continue my adventures in Central New York and serve the people at our newest Camillus location. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family on both sides of the border and traveling whenever we can.
