Professional cosmetologists help with make up application, dry skin, discolored nails, choice of a wig, scarves, turbans and hats. Patients can register with:

The American Cancer Society holds this program all over the area on different days of the week and times to make it more accessible. They go to Liverpool, Auburn, Central Square and more!

Every 2nd Monday of the month at our Brittonfield office in the lunch room from 5:00-7:00.

4th Monday of the month from 4:15-7:00 at Diningroom 1 at the Community General Hospital Cafeteria.

KATS

(Kids Adjusting Through Support)

A program of Hematology Oncology Associates of CNY

& Camp Good Days and Special Times

When: Next Session Starts March 6th - April 24th, 2008

Time: 5:30-7:30pm

Who:  Children Ages 5-18 who have adult family members that are experiencing cancer

Our mission with the KATS program is to help children and their families cope with serious illness by intervening with group support and an education process. Our group programs can be applied to a wide variety of traumatic circumstances for families in need everywhere. Families (both parents and children) are encouraged to participate in the program. Children ages 5-18 are grouped by age to facilitate friendships and sharing. Adult groups are also organized to foster mutual support. All groups provide an emotionally safe and confidential setting as well as the tools needed to cope with changes associated with illness within a family.
