Phone Calls
Phone calls for appointments, routine prescription refills, and lab test results should be made during office hours.
When you call the office for an appointment, please tell the operator if that appointment is for an office visit, for lab work, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy. You may be placed on hold for a very short time while your call is transferred to your doctor's secretary, to the Infusion Center, or to Radiotherapy.
So that we may give your call our full attention and perhaps make arrangements for care, your call may not be returned until the end of the day. If you feel that your question or problem is urgent, please let the secretary know and we will make every attempt to get back to you immediately.
If you need assistance after office hours, call our main number, (315) 634-5056. The answering service operator will have our nurse or doctor return your call. A nurse practitioner and a doctor are on call during off-hours, weekends, and holidays. They are available for any questions or problems you may have when the office is closed. If the nurse or doctor has not returned your call within 20 minutes, please call the answering service a second time.

Reception Area
Every time you enter our Reception Area, please give your name to the receptionist. She will immediately report your arrival to the area where you will receive your care. This will help prevent unnecessary waiting.
A coatroom is next to the Reception Area. Please keep in mind that we cannot be responsible for personal items left in our office.

Patient Lobby
We offer a variety of free informational health-related brochures and pamphlets for you to take home.
A telephone is located in the Patient Lobby for local calls. Coffee and tea are also available.
We try to keep our patients' wait time to a minimum. Please tell the receptionist if you wait longer than 20 minutes.
If you are too ill to stay in the Patient Lobby until your appointment, please ask the receptionist to arrange for a nurse to assist you.
Restrooms
Restrooms are located next to our Patient Lobby, near the Exam Rooms, and in the Infusion Center.
This is a SMOKE-FREE office. Please do not smoke in the restrooms.

Visitors
Friends and family members are always welcome to accompany you. However, we do ask that you not bring anyone who is ill. Many of our patients have difficulty fighting infections. We also prefer that children remain at home, for their safety and the safety of our patients. If they must come with you, please supervise them closely.
